The Zurich Lake is known as Zurichsee (sounds like Zurich Sea) in Switzerland. I always used to wonder why would Swiss people call a lake, sea? I always use to wonder is it because there is no sea in Switzerland? But when I saw the lake it became clear to me why is it called a sea. Zurich Lake is gigantic, to say the least. It stretches almost 40kms in length and is as broad as 3kms at some places. The road around the lake is more than 80kms where a lot of people cycle and run (I got this info from one of them, so must be true).
