Merchant City is a bunch of 18th Century Victorian buildings that were the center of Tobacco trade. Now it houses some of the best restaurants and bars of Glasgow. Also Merchant City was the place where I fist heard the Scottish Pipes. A young lad (yes boy becomes lad in Scotland :-) I am getting good in Scottish English) dressed up smartly in a Kilt (traditional Scottish dress for men looks a bit like skirt) was playing really soothing music on Scottish Pipes. I sat there for half an hour soaking myself in the Scottish music. Glaswegian people told me that lad was good but I might find much better pied pipers in Edinburgh, but I thought he was absolutely amazing.
