Glasgow Necropolis

Glasgow Necropolis, Tarun Chandel Photoblog

Behind the Glasgow Cathedral there is a huge area having the graves of Scottish Nobles. The graveyard is known as the Necropolis. Though the Necropolis may give you eerie feeling of walking in a graveyard but it is a beautiful place. Spread across a small hill and scattered around are some very old tombs. I could locate a tomb of a lady who passed away in 17th century on the same date. The green hill of Necropolis gives a beautiful view of the city. May be it is for the people who lay there in peace to keep them satisfied that Glasgow is still as beautiful as they left it.
